On every 11/11, we celebrate Veteran's Day. Today, 11/11/11 is even more special so let's give extra special thanks. Thank you to every soldier who has ever protected our country or ever will. Thank you to every wife, mother and child who has sacrificed for us. Take a moment to pause today to realize how lucky we are to live in this great country where anything is possible. American War Mothers
- Maryland "Star Spangled" Chapter #1 Our main goal is to support our current military and our veterans.  The biggest single thing we do is mailing care packages weekly to our deployed military.  We participate in Operation Welcome Home at BWI Airport as often as we can.  We take donated items to the MCVETS center in downtown Baltimore. - Operation Christmas Tree started after our daughter was deployed to Iraq. The idea was born after we decided to send a 'bit of home' during the holiday season which consisted of one standard size Christmas tree. Unfortunately we faced the issue of how to ship it. After deliberating we came up with the idea of shipping two foot tall trees to as many service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, including our daughter. This was a major success among those that received the trees and because of this we have decided to make Operation Christmas Tree a yearly project until our troops are home.

- The Yellow Ribbon Fund was created in early 2005 to assist our injured service members and their families while they recuperate at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. Our mission began when the father of an injured Marine introduced two of our volunteers to staff at Walter Reed and Bethesda Naval and they told us what needs were not met by other donors.

- The Det 3 Foundation purpose is to support combat troops from the 101st Airborne Division. We have a history of working with one specific group; A troop, 1st of the 75th Cav, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne, Division (Air Assault) which consists of about 100 men.
